Andrew Laurendi - Film Student with Volunteer Experience

A film production student, Andrew Laurendi has built his skills across multiple schools and jobs. After high school at Massapequa High in New York, Andrew Laurendi joined Nassau Community College to study communication and media. From there, he moved to Long Island University Post Campus to study film and is currently at Los Angeles Film School in California for his BS in digital filmmaking.

While in high school, Andrew Laurendi volunteered at HorseAbility in Old Westbury, New York, assisting individuals with disabilities during horseback riding sessions. He also provided equine care, including feeding, grooming, and walking the horses, and supported administrative operations by handling phone inquiries, managing paperwork, and coordinating event schedules.

Shortly after high school, Mr. Laurendi worked part-time at Stew Leonard’s as a bakery assistant and demo host. He handed out food samples sold in the stores, explaining their origin and production. He later worked as a cashier at Whole Foods in Farmingdale, giving shoppers a positive experience. He also handled customer selections, verified prices, addressed customer inquiries, and maintained a clean and organized checkout area.

Through his education and experience at various jobs, Andrew Laurendi has sharpened key skills. He is an excellent communicator, stays organized, manages time well, and can efficiently multitask. He is also proficient in customer engagement, administrative support, and using tools such as Google Docs and Microsoft Office Apps.
